Manhole cover for use in cast floors and slab floors with pedestrian and light corridor traffic.

Used where floor coverings are to be folded into the lid and towards the frame edge. The lid and frame have a 2 mm thick and 3 mm high coating edge.

* Quick access to pipes, fittings, valves, and electrical connections mounted in the floor.
* Visible edge of lid and frame is a total of 5 mm.

Surface treatment:
* Untreated aluminum. Primed surface for good attachment between coating and lid/frame.

Materials:
* Extruded aluminum frame.
* Lid of aluminum profile 200×15 mm.
* Packed individually in plastic.

Opening:
An M6 screw is mounted as a lifting device in the surface of the lid. Head diameter 10 mm and head height 4 mm.

Assembly:
* Sanded into recess.
During plastering, the corner angle of the frame must be 90 °. Check this by trying the lid in the frame before the plaster has hardened.
* Casting at the same time as covering.
The lid must be in the frame. Between the frame and the lid, the fitter must provide spacer wedges so that pressing of the frame is avoided.
* In slab floors, the frame must be supported.

The floor covering must be on top of the flange, so that the top frame is equal to the height of the finished floor.

Helnor has protected the visible surface of the lid against damp concrete with plastic.
Leave the protection in place until the concrete has hardened.

Wash off any spills from damp concrete/plaster as soon as possible as this otherwise gives etch marks that can only be removed by mechanical brushing after drying.
