XK – Telescopic Spindle Extension XK, DN25-65

Telescopic spindle extension for surface mounting in lawn, green area, and with loose insertion in street box type XP211 (sheet 1.920).

Helnor telescopic spindle extension does not transmit pressure loads and therefore prevents breakage of the tap or water pipe. Terrain changes can take place without cutting or splicing the spindle extension. If it is chosen for a short length, the joint piece can be mounted without excavation and extra work.

During backfilling, lateral forces must be avoided and the function checked several times. By rotating the outer and inner plastic pipes 90 degrees to each other, the friction is increased, and they remain at the desired height during assembly. The telescopic tube cannot be pulled out of engagement for the maximum length.

The spindle is made of galvanized steel pipes that can withstand a torque several times the force required to close and open the valve.
The spindle sleeve is made of zinc-coated ductile iron, and the plastic parts are made of impact-resistant polypropylene.

As an extra safety, the spindle sleeve is pre-drilled for mounting the included stainless/acid-proof split pin.

The spindle top has a recessed plastic piece with the text BALL VALVE. This is to mark that bedding and opening takes place at a 90 degree turn. The chip can be removed and the underlying text LOCK VALVE indicates that the valve requires many revolutions to be operated.

The spindle top is adapted to Helnor key XK and XN3 (blade 1,900). The keys have a maximum torque of 9 kgm.
This prevents the risk of overloading the spindle rod and valve.

Model XK fits directly on ground cranes type:
Esco, Vulkan, Isiflo, AVK Norsk, T&D, PEL.

Cimberio fits with the use of the valve’s supplied adapter.

Lab with max dim 30×6 fits with the use of the spindle extension’s included transport safety device/skirt.

Frialen, AVK, and Hawle can be used using a special adapter (Sheet 1.190).

Using adapters, ground cranes of various other makes can be connected.
