We have solutions that prevents urban runoff backflow on your drainage network.
Sewer backflow costs society greatly every year.
Water damage costs society staggering amounts of compensation every single year. According to Finans Norge, the compensation after water intrusion and stoppage in sewer/backflow damage has increased a lot in recent years, and the latest figures from 2020 show that these damages now cost us more than a billion kroner a year. This means that such water damage to buildings and contents costs more than flood damage under the Natural Damage Act.
The most typical water damage caused by weather and natural events is due to:
- Stop in drain. Backflow.
- Water penetration from the outside.
- Frost
Stoppage in drains and backflow refers to, among other things, flooding in buildings because water penetrates through the drainage network or due to clogged drains, water traps, or sanitary equipment. Unfortunately, many have experienced so much water in pipes and drains that it backflows in the house and up into the sink, drain, and toilet. This is where we come into the picture to be able to offer different solutions to prevent some of these unfortunate situations.

Avoid backflow.
- The number of cases of sewage backflow in basements is increasing. Changes in precipitation results in high water flow in the drainage and surface water networks.
- In some places, surface water and wastewater are also conveyed in the same pipeline. The water has the property of finding the easiest way – unfortunately this means that backflow occur in basements. As mentioned, the insurance costs associated with this are enormous, but with our sewer backflow valve, the problem can be handled efficiently.
- Several of our products also refer to PP (polypropylene) stainless steel non-return valve to prevent the intrusion of rats or other pests. Non-return valves in PP are also more resistant to cold and aggressive chemicals.
How does a backflow valve work?
- A backflow valve can also be called a “one-way valve”. Water and sewage pass freely through the valve in one direction, while the valve closes on the backflow or return of liquid
- Flooding from the municipal network is a problem for many. The backflow valve, on the other hand, prevents the water from penetrating and the damage it can cause to the home.
- In the event of a backflow and closed valve, all water consumption should be stopped. The wastewater then has no way out, and will lead to flooding in one’s own house if consumption does not cease.
- We currently have backflow valves for drain pipes DN110 to DN400. If you combine the installation with a lid from us, you have an efficient and flexible solution – not only to stop the backflow, but also to ensure quick access for maintenance.
- Another example is in new buildings where the backflow valve is often mounted in a recess in a concrete floor. A floor hatch for inspection can then be inserted so that maintenance of the valve can be performed.
